Box Office Staff

We are looking for dynamic, customer-focused individuals to join our busy Box Office team. Hours are flexible and can involve shifts between Monday- Sunday.

Box office work includes:

  • Being a friendly and approachable representative of Leicester Haymarket Theatre with strong customer service skills both face to face and over the phone
  • Use of computerised ticketing system (Spektrix) on a day to day basis and on during performances (evening and weekends included)
  • Cash handling
  • Facilitate group bookings from enquiry to completion
  • Facilitate visiting company guest lists
  • Reception duties such as taking messages, transferring calls and administrative support to venue managers where required

Personal Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with a ‘problem solving’ mindset
  • Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A customer focussed attitude
  • Ability to work in an efficient and professional manner
  • Good availability for varied shift patterns

Skill Requirements:

  • Previous experience of work within a venue desirable
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including managing customer expectations and staff interactions
  • Clear speaking voice
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Ability to confidently work with computers and telephones
  • Enthusiasm for the arts
